Program Overview

This 28-day intensive training is a container to nourish your passion for the practice. Our time together will grow your wisdom and nurture your authentic teacher within. Through the science and spirit of yoga, we will build healthy habits, deep healing, vitality, a higher purpose, and the ability to take our unique gifts and share them with the world.

Held by the traditional practices of Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, and Yoga Nidra and supported by the modern inclusion of anatomy as well as therapeutics we will embrace both the physical and metaphysical beauty that yoga encompasses. Rooted in the knowing that every being has a powerful message to share, we work with the individual gifts of everyone and stoke the fire of authenticity in all.

In order to do so, we keep the groups small and intimate. We welcome not just those who wish to eventually teach, but also those who would like to immerse themselves in deep study of the mind, body, and soul as well as cultivate

a powerful personal practice.

  • Introductory therapeutics and Yin for recovery/rehabilitation

  • How to access deeper power, stamina, strength, flexibility and grace in your practice

Cancelation policy

Cancellations only accepted up to 3 weeks prior to the start date of the training

in which a processing fee will be deducted from the total along with the deposit.

**In the instance of an unexpected travel ban or natural disaster preventing

travel to the island you have the options to:

1: Refund of which a 1000p processing fee will be deducted.

2: Use for a future or rescheduled training.

3: Use for a future stay at Lotus Shores Yoga Retreat.

THE FOOD

The meals provided for the training will be made by the loving hands of Lotus Shores own Kali Ma Vegan Cafe. The produce is sourced from our on site growing vegetable garden and the island’s organic farms. All meals are made with intention, by hand, and from scratch. Nothing from a can or plastic bag. We work with time (e.g organic farming methods, fermentation, etc.), nature, high vibrations, and loving hands. During your training you will be provided with 2 meals and 2 beverages a day of choice. Prior to training we will take note of any dietary restrictions and specifications. Trust that all meals will be wholesome and made with whole food ingredients. Ahimsa (non-violence) is observed and loving kindness is our motto.

THE LOCATION

Lotus Shores is a space dedicated to the exploration of each person’s unique place and purpose in this world. This is the realization of Yoga: the embodiment of our highest potential, in service of the whole, attained through consistent, dedicated, and intentional self- effort and inquiry.

Nestled in the jungles of the wave-fringed island that is Siargao, we are given the sacred opportunity to practice deep listening and find deep rest. Preserving as much of the natural landscape, the retreat features large gardens, open spaces and architecture inspired by a

combination of traditional and minimalist styles. The dedicated spaces for practice (Durga Temple and Yoga Dojo) and communal areas (Kali Ma Cafe & Restaurant) hold a grandeur that leads the mind towards the infinite. The comfortable and minimalist interior of the accommodation inspire clarity of mind and and the inward turning of one’s awareness.

Simplicity and comfort create the conditions so that one can journey inward-- doing away with both experiences of excess or lack which bind the mind to the senses, the greatest obstacle to the inward journey to the Self.

Meet the Teacher

Tenille Hunter

Tenille is a Multi-Style International Yoga Teacher who facilitates YTTs, Retreats, Workshops, Continuing Education Trainings, Mentorships, Private and Studio classes to people from all over the world. Originally from Canada, she is currently living full time on the dreamy surfer island of Siargao in the Philippines where she spends her days teaching, studying, practicing, surfing and volunteering with a local animal rescue, Puppy Puddles.

Through over 2000 hours of formal training from Canada, USA and India, 23 years of practice, and 11 years of teaching full-time Internationally (over 10000hrs of teaching experience) Tenille has embodied a genuinely authentic, creative and clear way of exploring the body. She fills her tool box with the wisdoms and teachings from traditional yoga as well as the modern sciences of functional anatomy and therapeutics. She finds freedom within the practices of Vinyasa, Hatha, Power Yoga, Yin, Yoga Therapy and Yoga Nidra. Her heart is set on fire by chanting Mantra, potent

Pranayama, and energy body adventures. Her classes can range from fun, playful and challenging to deeply therapeutic, healing and

transmutational. One thing is for sure, you will be taught with care by an experienced teacher.

In her own words, she is weird & witty, complex & creative, moody & mystical. Her Dharma is to continue to explore, grow, heal, and share these tools with the world. I look forward to holding space for you to explore your humanity.
